Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold has talked about priorities and family, emphasizing that his daughter Adejare and wife Simi are the center of his universe.
The "Orente" hitmaker made it clear that while he can afford to be a failure artist, he cannot afford to be a failing husband and father.
Adekunle Gold said that one of his top priorities is to provide his daughter with a better life than his parents had for him while he was growing up in a recent episode of the NotJustOk podcast.
He revealed that his will to be a better father to his kid served as the inspiration for the song "My Love Is The Same."
"I can't afford to give my daughter the kind of life I had growing up, so all I wanted to do was do more for her." It must be far superior. That's why I'm putting in a lot of effort.
"My center is my family." I don't make jokes around my family. Instead of being a failed father or man, I can afford to be a failed musician. For me, that isn't negotiable," he said.
