After being hospitalized, Cardi B makes her first public appearance

 

TThe "I Like It" singer returned to the public eye on October 31 by attending a Halloween party in New York City, over two weeks after being admitted to the hospital due to a medical issue.

Dressed as Jessica Rabbit from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cardi turned heads in a busty red gown, elbow-length purple gloves and glittering diamond earrings by LabLove. The Grammy winner accessorized her sultry look with a striking red lip, purple eyeshadow, and thick ginger hair.

Her appearance followed the "WAP" rapper's announcement that she had to postpone her performance at Atlanta's ONE MusicFest because of a medical issue that had sent her to the hospital.

"I've been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency for the last couple of days, and I won't be able to perform at ONE MusicFest," Cardi stated in a note posted to her Instagram on October 23.

Despite not disclosing any information about her illness, the 32-year-old, who is the mother of Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and an unnamed 1-month-old with her estranged husband Offset, did write, "It breaks my heart that I won't get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there."

"Thank you for your understanding," Cardi continued, "and I'll be returning soon, stronger and better. Do not be concerned. I love you all.

Cardi was supported by ONE MusicFest during her hospital stay. "Let's all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery!" the festival wrote after reposting Cardi's post on their own Instagram page.

Cardi has had a hectic few months with her family, despite her health issues. After seven years of marriage, Cardi filed for divorce from the Migos rapper just over a month before the couple's third kid was due in September.

She has stated that her future as a mother of three is only going to get better, despite the fact that the breakup has been very dramatic.

"Every ending marks a fresh start!" Cardi stated in the August 1 Instagram post. "I am really thankful that we were able to spend this season together; you have given me more life, more love, and most importantly, newfound strength! reminded me that everything is mine.
