Breaking: Senate approves Tinubu's seven nominations for ministers

 

President Bola Tinubu has nominated seven new ministers, and the Senate has ratified them.

Following Tinubu's decision to reorganize his cabinet last week, the confirmations followed a Senate floor session on Wednesday.

Prior to this, the Senate suspended its rule allowing Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to the President on Senate matters, to bring the candidates into the plenary after a motion made by the leader, Opeyemi Bamidele.

Following almost five hours of Senate examination, the nominees were confirmed.

President Bola Tinubu's letter proposing the new ministers was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio last Thursday.
