Man City defeats Liverpool, keeping them in the title race. Pep: Great performance

At the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City overcame a deficit to destroy Liverpool 4-1 and keep pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal.

When Mohamed Salah gave the opposition an early lead, Pep Guardiola's championship defense appeared to be hanging by a thread. However, Julian Alvarez soon restored parity, and City went on to win with to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, and Jack Grealish in the second half.

The victory reduced the distance between Guardiola's team and Arsenal to five points at the end of the game and served as a timely reminder that they are still a formidable force even without their leading scorer Erling Haaland, who was watching and supporting his teammates from the stands.

John Stones and Rodri partnered in midfield to help Manchester City control the ball early on, but it was clear Liverpool would counterattack. As Diogo Jota set up the offside trap, Salah was ruthless in exposing the City defense with a beautiful finish.
Soon after, Salah scored again, but that turn of events proved to be crucial for the game. Grealish intercepted his center and quickly made his way back down the other end to assist Alvarez in tying the score after a lavish City move.

Duel between Grealish and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Manuel Akanji and Jordan Henderson added to the feeling of occasion despite the fact that these two clubs had been vying for that crown so frequently in recent seasons.
